2012 Rabies Vaccination
Free Clinics
For All Pet Dogs, Cats & Ferrets
Previous rabies Vaccination Certificate must be presented to receive
a 3 year booster (NO EXCEPTIONS).
The vaccine being used gives 1 year protection for domestic dogs and cats receiving
their first vaccination and 3 years protection for domestic dogs and cats receiving a
booster.
Domesticated ferrets require vaccination each year.
Even pet dogs and cats that stay indoors must be vaccinated.
NYS law requires all dogs to be licensed. A license will not be issued for a time
period extending beyond the date of the dogs rabies certificate.
It is NYS law that any unvaccinated pet exposed to a rabid or suspected rabid
animal be euthanized or quarantined for 6 months at owners’ expense.
It is NYS law that any unvaccinated pet that bites or scratches be confined for ten
days at a facility at owners’ expense.

*CATS AND FERRETS SHOULD BE IN A PILLOW CASE OR CARRYING CASE*
*LIMIT OF 15 PETS PER PERSON

CONVENIENCE. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PET.

Our neighbors in Schoharie and Delaware counties have been devastated by Hurricane Irene and the flooding
that followed.The Fly Creek Fire Company and Heartworks Quilt Shop have worked together to collect
cleaning supplies, food and tools for the flood victims in Prattsville, NY. Chief Mike Thayer picked up Heartworks
donations on Saturday evening 9/24. Richie and Ann Carr delivered a truck full of donated items on Sunday 9/25
to the Grand Gorge Fire Department. Grand Gorge FD will distribute everything to the folks in Prattsville.
